Our Hosting Policies

Please read our Billing, Renewal, Anti-Spam and Proper Use policies carefully before signing up for GIL Hosting services. When YOU take up GIL Hosting services, YOU here by agree to our policies as stated herein.
 

Billing Policy

Payment is accepted in Singapore Dollars in the form of Cheques (For Singapore clients only), Paypal or Telegraphic Transfer (Please include S$40.00 for bank charges).

YOUR account is activated for a period of 12 months. There will be no refunds for payments and prepayments.

YOUR account is billed on 12 monthly cycles.

Termination of service must be submitted with 30 days prior notice. In this respect, YOU will have to submit YOUR cancellation notice of any service through GIL Hosting official website using the cancellation FORM and options provided for the purpose.

All servers will terminate on the last day of the month. If the two weeks notice is not sufficient to cover the current month, YOUR account will be terminated at the end of the following month.

In the event of any refunds, a SGD 30.00 administrative fee plus any postage & bank charges is payable to GIL Consultancy for any refunds made out.

All refunds will be made out by normal mail via cheques/checks for local clients and by money order or telegraphic transfer for overseas clients.

Once YOUR order has been processed, YOUR server configuration information will be sent to YOU via E-mail.

YOU will be billed via email (overseas clients) or normal mail (local clients).

YOU are expected to make payment on time. Failure to do so will result in immediate server termination. A reactivation fee of SGD 100.00 applies.

YOU will be billed for all domain names registered through GIL Hosting.

Billing dates will commence upon YOUR account activation.

All prices are subjected to change. New prices will be updated in our website.

Note: If YOU change the configuration on YOUR account in such a way that it no longer works, we will fix it for YOU at SGD 100.00 per hour. (minimum 1 hour).

GIL Hosting reserves the right to amend or change our billing policy at anytime without prior notice.

YOU hosting plan will be automatically renewed on a yearly basis unless otherwise informed.

An invoice or payment notice for renewal will be sent to YOU via email prior to the expiration of YOUR hosting contract.
 

Unsolicited Commercial E-mail or "Spam" sent from any YOUR Account or any website hosted on our network that offers any services that support spam or UCE activities are not tolerated.

UCE includes any e-mail that promotes web sites hosted on a GIL Hosting Virtual Server sent from an email address not associated with YOUR account.

GIL Hosting will issue a warning to YOU after the first incident of such a violation. Notice given by electronic mail shall be deemed received on (1) business day after it is posted to the recipient's e-mail address. Upon the second violation, GIL Hosting reserves the right to terminate services without any refunds of the unused portion prepaid by YOU when YOU are in violation of "NO SPAM" policy. GIL Hosting will also fine YOU SGD 500.00 per SPAM incident.

GIL Hosting believe strongly in promoting "netiquette", or proper use of the Internet. A strong anti-spamming policy will benefit all of us by establishing GIL Hosting & YOU as effective sources of virtual servers and web design services.
 

Any Virtual Server that is used for illegal, abusive, or unethical activity may be immediately deactivated by GIL Hosting without warning to YOU.

Illegal, abusive or unethical activities may include, but are not limited to, pornography, obscenity, nudity, violations of privacy, hacking, computer virus, gambling, or promotion of gambling, and any harassing or harmful materials or uses as determined by GIL Hosting.

YOU agree to indemnify and hold GIL Hosting harmless from any claim resulting from YOUR publications or use of illegal, abusive, or unethical materials.

GIL Hosting will make reasonable effort to alert YOU to such activities when discovered, and allow YOU an opportunity to fix them within a 12-hour period after discovery. However, GIL Hosting is not required to give such notice before deactivating YOUR use of GIL Hosting services if, in our discretion, YOUR use is or results in illegal, abusive, or unethical activities.

If a Virtual Server is disabled, the regular monthly fees still apply until the Virtual Server is terminated byYOU. A reactivation fee of SGD 100.00 will be imposed.
